WOMEN'S NATIONAL ALL-STAR GAMES

Beginning in 1957, to commemorate the ASA's 25th anniversary, and for about the next 20 years, a series of games was played annually in July between the previous year's ASA National Champions and the All-Americans (All-Stars) selected upon the completion of that tournament. These games were hosted by the reigning National Champions, with the manager of the National runner up invited to manage the All-Stars. All-Stars selected from the championship team would play for their team and be replaced on the all-star team by second team All-Americans. Because most of the 1975 All-Americans opted to play in the new Women's Professional Softball league in 1976, no All-Star series was held that year.
