In posting a 28-11 overall record in 1951, the Brakettes shared the State League title while they won the National Girls' Softball League crown.
The Laurelettes of Hartford prevented the team from defending their regional crown as the Brakettes lost 5-3 in the finals of the state tournament.
Anabelle Pia and Dolores Ruffo were newcomers to the pitching staff. |
