BRAKETTES POSTPONED THURSDAY; HOST BAY STATE BRATS FRIDAY
July 24, 2009 - The Stratford Brakettes were postponed because of rain Thursday night against the Mirage Gold in a scheduled DeLuca Field doubleheader. The Brakettes (35-4) will return to action tonight (Friday, July 24) when they host the Bay State Brats of Boston, MA, in a 7 p.m. twin-bill at DeLuca Field. The Brats of Coach Bo Durso are in their 10th season and first as a 23-and-Under club. They entered this season with a 411-80 overall record and thus far they carry a 12-2 mark into tonight's action. Following tonight's action, the Brakettes will face the TC Tremors of Binghamton, NY, Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 12 noon in a pair of doubleheaders. Manager John Stratton's club will have all four pitchers available this weekend with Rachele Fico (5-0, 0.00) expected to pitch one of tonight's games. |
