BRAKETTES TEAMS HEAD TO CORNFIELD CLASSIC

June 10 - The Stratford and Junior Brakettes softball teams will be in Lyons, PA, this weekend for the annual Cornfield Classic at the Lyons Firehouse Field. A total of 10 teams will compete for the title.

Manager John Stratton's Stratford Brakettes (4-0) captured the 2019 championship as last year's tourney was cancelled because of COVID-19.

Both teams will play three games Saturday with the top six advancing to the Gold Division championship bracket. The Stratford Brakettes face Stripes & Strikes of Hazelton, PA, at 11:30 a.m. at Deka Field, while the Junior Brakettes (2-2) play Pegasus at 11:30 a.m. at Lyons Field #2.

PA Lady Steel and Maryland Heat are the other Stratford opponents, while the Nook Gold and Outlaws meet the Junior Brakettes.

The Stratford Brakettes will return to Frank DeLuca Hall of Fame Field Monday to face the CT Seahawks at 7 p.m. in a doubleheader.
