JUNIOR BRAKETTES EARN CAROLYN FARLEY CHAMPIONSHIP
July 26 - Manager Mary Sciglimpaglia's Junior Brakettes upset the Stratford Brakettes 3-2 in the championship game of the Carolyn Farley Invitational tournament Sunday in Concord, NH. The Juniors went 5-0 in the tournament, while the Stratford Brakettes, who posted four straight shutout victories, finished 4-1.
The Junior Brakettes will return to action on Friday at 7 p.m. when they host the CT Impact 23U in a doubleheader at DeLuca Field.
In the 18U division the Select Brakettes were the top seed heading into the elimination round before losing 7-6 in the semifinals.
Entering the final weekend of the season before the WMS National Championship tournament August 4, all three Brakettes teams have compiled fine records. The Stratford Brakettes are 30-2, the Junior Brakettes are 22-12 and the Select Brakettes are 24-4-1.
