Position: P Bats: R Throws: R College: Kentucky Resides: Milford, MA In 2014, Smith helped the Kentucky Wildcats as they made their amazing run to their first Women's College World Series appearance in program history. As a rising junior she strives to help her team in making the appearance again. In high school Shannon was named the Gatorade Massachusetts Player of the Year her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Smith was also was named ESPN's Miss Softball for her junior and senior years as well as the 2013 Boston Globe All-Scholastic player of the year. Smith, a high academic achiever, is taking a summer class and looking to return toward the end of the 2015 Brakette season.
