The Brakettes repeated as World Champions as they hosted the event again in 1959.
Bertha Ragan, with four wins, and Joan Joyce combined to hurl six shutout victories. In the championship game against the Portland Florists, Edna Fraser's bases-loaded single in the ninth inning scored Mary Hartman with the decisive run to break up a mound duel between Ragan and Louise Mazzuca of Portland.
Ragan was the tournament's MVP for the third time in four years. She was joined as a first-team All-America by Joan Joyce (first base), Bev Mulonet (shortstop) and Micki Macchietto (catcher).
The team finished the year with a 56-7 record.
Ragan had a record of 21 wins and three setbacks. She had 19 shutouts and allowed only eight runs all year. Joyce was 23-1 and her 2-0 tournament record improved her string of consecutive scoreless innings to 31.2.
