Brakettes Rained Out in 65th Anniversary of Patriot's Park
 July 28 - by Ilan Woll - With the Allentown Patriot's Athletic Association celebrating Patriot's Park 65th anniversary, the Brakettes were honored to be a part of the park's history with a double header against the home town Patriettes. Brandice Balschmiter took the start for Stratford.
In the top of the second, with the Brakettes leading 1-0, lightning was sighted triggering a 30 minute delay. After another couple delays caused by lightning and heavy rains, the game was finally called due to unplayable fields.
The Brakettes continue their road trip Saturday at 7pm ET and Sunday at 10am for a pair of doubleheaders against the Lyons Spirit. Tuesday at 7pm the Brakettes welcome the St. Louis Saints to DeLuca Field en route to the Women's Major Softball championships Thursday-Sunday. All games can be seen on Brakettes.com.
