Pawol was pinch running for Erica Sobel who had doubled, her second hit of the game. VanBrakle struck out nine and walked one. The Brakettes earlier had threatened in the second when, with two out, a single by VanBrakle and a double by Callie Piper put runners on second and third, but the Brakettes failed to score. Teri Rooney doubled to left center in the third, but was left stranded. The Storm had several scoring opportunities but were unable to break through against VanBrakle. They had two hits in both the fifth and sixth innings. Doyle struck out six and walked two in defeat. |
