Kaitlyn Holly is a member of the prized freshmen recruiting class at Manhattan College, all of whom are playing for the Brakettes organization this year. The 5-foot-4 outfielder enjoyed a stellar career at Hopkinton, MA, High, graduating in 2019. She capped her career with a first-team selection on the Metrowest Daily News all-star team. She was the catalyst of a 16-6 record by the Hillers her senior year when she batted .620 (44-for-71). A left-handed slapper with power, Holly had six doubles, six triples, and drove in 34 runs. In a 19-2, five-inning win over Westwood May 13, 2019, she was a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate, including her 100th hit in a four-year varsity career. Faster than the proverbial speeding bullet in the Superman movie, she stole 32 bases at Hopkinton, including 19 last year. Ex-Brakettes pitching great Brandice Balschmiter was her pitching coach at Planet Fastpitch and told Manager John Stratton of her talent, which also produced a 6-1 pitching record as a senior.
