Amber Radomski, who retired as an active player at the completion of the 2017 season, played with the Brakettes since 2006 and has served as Player/Coach since 2011. During her tenure, Amber has contributed to the squad in the infield, outfield, and third base coach's box. She has welcomed all her roles, truly enjoys sharing her knowledge of the game with others, and is thankful to have the opportunity to learn from legendary Coach John Stratton. At a very young age, Amber learned how to pitch at the 'Stratton on Softball' Clinics. She continued to study the game from the best players who traveled through Stratford beginning in the early 90's and continues to cherish the opportunity to be a part of the Brakette family nearly 25 years later.

Amber spent four seasons (2009-2012) as the Head Softball Coach at Manhattanville College. In her first season as a collegiate head coach, Amber led the Valiants to a 19-19 record in 2009, the second-most wins by a first-year coach in program history and the fifth-highest single-season win total at Manhattanville. Amber helped the team to an 18-19-1 record and a second-place finish in the Freedom Conference in her second year at the helm in 2010, giving the team its first Freedom Conference Tournament berth in three years with the conference. In 2011, after losing their first game in the Freedom Conference Tournament, the Valiants rebounded to win two games and advance to the championship round for the first time in four seasons with the conference. Amber led the Valiants to another successful season in 2012, as the Valiants earned the top seed in the Freedom Conference Tournament despite fielding a team with 10 newcomers and just one senior on the roster. The squad finished the year with a 20-17 record, the most wins for the team since joining the Freedom Conference, and also made its second straight appearance in the championship round of the Freedom Conference Tournament. The Valiants were also one of the most powerful teams in the country in 2012, finishing the year third in Division III in home runs per game with 39 long balls in 37 games (1.05/gm). During her tenure, Amber coached numerous players selected to the All Freedom Conference Teams and she credits the teams' success to the hard work and dedication of her players.

Prior to Manhattanville, from 2004-2008, she served as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Division II American International College, where she assisted in the teaching of fundamentals and strategies and also worked with pitchers and catchers to call pitches during games. Amber was fortunate to have learned from legendary Coach Judy Groff and Assistant Coach Billy Bedard. In 2003-2004, Radomski served as a Graduate Associate Softball Coach at Division III Springfield College, under the guidance of Coach Kathy Mangano, working exclusively with the team’s pitchers and catchers on mechanics and game strategy.

During her four-year collegiate playing career at American International, Amber was named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference first team as a senior and was a two-time All-NEISCA team honoree in 2001 and 2003. As a senior, she helped the team to the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament by leading the Yellow Jackets with a .326 batting average and 27 runs batted in while also posting a 14-9 record and a 2.13 ERA in the circle. In her four seasons in an AIC uniform, Amber appeared in 201 career games for the Yellow Jackets and registered a .289 batting average at the plate. Also a team leader in the circle, Amber went 36-26 with a 2.34 ERA and 171 strikeouts in 78 career appearances.

After graduation, Amber spent two summers in Italy playing softball professionally for Impresa Tarabuso of the A1-A2 divisions in 2004 and 2005 before getting called up by then Brakette Player/Coach Patty Fernandes to live out her dream with the Brakettes.

Amber continues to train young softball players and she has worked at many facilities in both Connecticut and Massachusetts.
