Entering her first season in a Brakette jersey Quianna “Q” has debuted brilliantly batting .475 through the first half of the season. Q has started every game of her career at UMASS anchoring the infield from the shortstop position. As a junior she led UMASS in 8 offensive categories including batting average, runs scored, on-base-percentage, walks and steals. She earned A-10 Rookie of the year as well as a Second Team All-A-10 nod. She will enter her senior season next year looking to lead the Minutemen back to the A-10 tournament while completing her major in Kinesiology. She brings an amazing amount of athleticism and charisma to this Brakette roster and has been a great addition to the 2014 team. Mainly making starts in the outfield Q has filled the lead-off spot beautifully.
