Danielle Henderson got a top-notch recruit in shortstop Courtney Cashman. . . Starting all 40 games for the Riverhawks, Cashman not only won the team batting title, but her .430 average was tops in the America East Conference. She had UMass-Lowell bests of 58 hits, 11 doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 35 RBI. . . Her .696 slugging percentage and .483 on-base percentage also ranked in the top three in the conference. . . Named America East and ECAC Rookie of the Year as well as gaining all-conference by both bodies . . . Scholastic standout at Governor's Academy was named to 2016 Boston Globe All-Scholastic Team and was the NEPSAC Female Athlete of the Year.
