Kristyn played a huge role for the 2011 Georgia Bulldogs, batting .303 with 10 HR, 31 RBI’s and 24 runs scored in her junior season. In the NCAA Super Regional against Baylor, Sandberg batted .571 with 2 HR’s, 2 doubles and 4 RBI’s. She also helped lead her team to the NFCA #1 ranking for four weeks, and garnered NFCA National Player of the Week honors once, as well. Kristyn batted .344 as a sophomore, with seven homers, 38 RBI’s and 20 runs. In her All-SEC Freshman season in 2009, Kristyn batted .297 with nine home runs, drove in 26 runs and scored 23 times. In less than a half-season with the Brakettes in 2010, Sandberg batted .439 with three homers.
