Carly Normandin enjoyed another historic season with the Brakettes in 2011, as she led the team in runs (79) and hits (89). She batted .461 and drove in 68 runs, second-highest on the Brakettes in both categories. Carly also eclipsed the previous single-season home run mark with 20 homers, but only after teammate Stephanie Call had already broken the record. Normandin took home the 2010 batting crown with an impressive .530 avg., with 10 homers and 50 RBIs. Normandin made her Brakette debut in 2009 and now stands in fourth-place on the career home run list with 36. As a senior outfielder for UMASS, Carly led the Atlantic 10 Conference in batting with a .400 average. She was also named a 2011 WMS All-Tournament pick in the outfield.
