Brandice Balschmiter has positioned herself quite nicely in the Brakettes' all-time record books, having won 179 games in her 11 years in Stratford. The only five Brakettes ahead of her on the list are National ASA Hall of Famers. She is also fifth in all-time strikeouts with 1664 Ks. Brandice recently announced that 2018 will be her last season. Balschmiter will step away having played professionally in the NPF (Chicago Bandits in 2009), as well as in Europe. The former All-American at UMASS went 14-2 for the Brakettes in 2017 with a 0.95 ERA and 130 strikeouts.
