Alex joins the Brakettes family just prior to her senior year at Boston University, where she stars for former Brakette Ashley Waters. Heinen brings a bigtime bat to Stratford in 2018, and a strong right arm to keep opposing runners at bay. Heinen was named the 2018 Patriot League Player of the Year, after batting .355 with 3 HRs and 50 RBIs for the Terriers. She also hit 12 doubles and 3 triples on the year. Alex was also named to the All-Patriot League Second Team in her first two seasons in Beantown.
