Briana starred at UCONN in 2018 as a freshman, where she batted a team-high .276. Marcelino also contributed 12 doubles and three home runs in her rookie campaign with the Huskies. Her .449 slugging percentage also led all UCONN batters, while she served as the starting shortstop in Storrs. Briana was a first team Connecticut All-Stater as a senior, leading Joel Barlow High School to the State Championship, taking home the MVP award in the Championship Game. Marcelino will add more pop to an already deep infield for the Brakettes in 2018.
