Raeanne Geffert saved her best for the last day of the season. She pitched a no-hitter in a 7-0 win over the Lyons Spirit in the loser's bracket final and came on in relief in the 7-3 'if' game win over the 2017 champion St. Louis Saints with three more no-hit innings as the Brakettes won the WMS title. Limited to just 12 appearances because of a college internship, Geffert compiled an 8-1 record with a 0.73 ERA. The former Seymour High All-Stater earned the Joan Joyce Outstanding Pitcher award and was first team WMS All-America. The pitching ace of Bucknell University led the Bisons to a runner-up regular-season Patriot League finish with her 15-12 record and 2.08 ERA with 163 strikeouts.
