Julia Handfield recently completed her freshmen year at Boston University, pitching for ex-Brakette All-America Ashley Waters. She is looking forward to working with Brakettes Manager John Stratton, one of the nation's top pitching clinicians, to hone her skills for a starting role next year. Three times named the Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year finalist at Auburn High, Julia put up impressive numbers both pitching and hitting. She finished with a 50-17 career record, a 1.11 ERA and 730 strikeouts, while batting .462 with 21 home runs and 201 RBI.
