Alex Heinen played a major role in her rookie season for the Stratford Brakettes in 2018. Whether it was behind the plate, at first base, or just with the bat, Heinen was spectacular. The San Clemente, CA, resident just completed her collegiate eligibility at Boston University by leading the Terriers to the Patriot League's regular-season and tournament title as well as an NCAA berth. She led the team, coached by Ashley Waters, the ex-Brakettes standout second baseman, with a .310 average, 10 home runs and 38 RBI. Last summer she tied for the home run lead at 11, drove in a team-high 65 runs, and hit .441 with 29 extra base hits for the Brakettes.
