Third-year pitcher Kaysee Talcik of Shelton enters the 2019 season with the most experience on the Brakettes staff. With the retirement of ace Brandice Balschmiter, Talcik has her sights set on taking over that role. Her two-year record is 21-1 with a 0.40 ERA and 194 strikeouts in 141 innings. The recent UMass-Lowell graduate led the River Sharks to the America East regular-season title with an 12-8 record. Chosen to the WMS All-America team last season, Talcik fashioned a 15-0 record with 142 K's in 98 innings. She also has a .304 career batting average.
