Chelsea Bramlett comes to the Stratford Brakettes from Mississippi State University where she recently ended a banner freshmen year for Coach Jay Millers club. She became the third MSU freshman to be named to First Team NFCA All-America following her blockbuster campaign. Also named the Southeast Conference Freshman of the Year, Bramlett hit .386, scored 56 runs and had 83 hits. A switch-hitter, with exceptional power from the right side, Bramlett set a school record with 46 stolen bases in 50 tries. She also had a streak of 38 in a row without being caught. She prepped at First Assembly Christian School in Cordova, TN, where she hit .735 (86-for-117) with 26 extra base hits, 10 home runs and 41 RBI in her final two years. She was successful on 96 percent of her stolen base attempts (98-for-102). In high school, Bramlett was also known for her pitching expertise as she fashioned a 19-2 record for the Lady Crusaders. At MSU, she catches and plays infield. She will be the fastest player to ever play for the Brakettes.
