Position: C/OF Bats: R Throws: R College: Quinnipiac Resides: Norwalk, CT
Jill Cimminello enters her third year with the Stratford Brakettes. Her playing time was limited in 2006 because of duties connected with her assistant coaching job at Quinnipiac University. However, she is available full-time this year and she should make a big contribution to the club as a catcher, outfielder and DH. A four-year letter winner and team captain as a senior at Quinnipiac, Cimminello finished her collegiate career in 2003. Quinnipiac set a school record with 34 victories that season and she was chosen to the All-Northeast Conference team. Following graduation, Cimminello was an assistant softball coach at the University of Rhode Island in 2004 and 2005. She was named interim head coach from April 2005 to the finish of that season. She has been an assistant at Quinnipiac the past two years. Playing a full year with the Brakettes in 2005, Cimminello hit .305 with 16 RBI.
