Stephanie Hill enjoyed an outstanding season with the professional Connecticut Brakettes in 2006. Before joining the NPF squad, Hill concluded her four-year Louisiana State University career with a trip to the Super Regional in Tucson, AZ, where the Lady Tigers lost to six-time NCAA champion Arizona in a best-of-three series. Hills LSU career was highlighted by her selection in 2005 as an Easton Third-Team All-America. In leading LSU to its No. 11 national ranking in 2006, Hill hit .328 with 16 doubles, one triple, six home runs and 36 RBI. A slick-fielding first baseman, who also played third in the pro league, Hill committed only one error in 337 chances for a .997 fielding average as a junior. A walk-on as a freshman, Hill earned a scholarship in her sophomore year and she responded with 13 home runs. At Dominican High School in her native Hanrahan, LA, Hill earned four letters in basketball and three in softball and track.
