Jill Cimminello enters her fourth year with the Stratford Brakettes. She played a key role last year as the backup catcher/utility player. She finished the season with a .384 batting average, her best ever. She also did a great job behind the plate, calling pitches and making plays. A four-year letter winner and team captain as a senior at Quinnipiac, Cimminello finished her collegiate career in 2003. Quinnipiac set a school record with 34 victories that season and she was chosen to the All-Northeast Conference team. Following graduation, Cimminello was an assistant softball coach at the University of Rhode Island in 2004 and 2005. She was named interim head coach from April 2005 to the finish of that season. She then served as an assistant at Quinnipiac in 2006 and 2007. Cimminellos career average is .322 with 42 RBI in 99 games.
