Entering her second year on the Brakettes, Mandie Fishback had an excellent 2007 season as she hit .422 with 76 hits, 13 doubles, and 55 RBI. The slick-fielding second baseman also scored 53 runs and delivered 22 extra base hits to rank among the team leaders in each category. She was named First Team All-America at both the ASA 23-and-under and Major championships. Fishback also had a superb two-year career at Florida Atlantic University after playing at the University of Tennessee in 2003 and 2004. Mandie transferred to Florida Atlantic University, where she red-shirted in 2005. The Banks, Oregon, native was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year as she had a great senior year. Fishback hit .366 (74-for-202), which was the fourth highest mark in Owls history. At Banks High School, Mandie earned four varsity letters in softball, three in soccer and one in basketball and one in volleyball. Her softball record was outstanding as she was named Oregons Player of the Year as a freshman with a 27-4 state championship ledger. Her final three years produced a record of 77-9. She had a .630 career average with 152 RBI and 98 stolen bases.
