Abby Abramson is beginning her fourth year with the Brakettes. While she participated in only 35 games during that span, she has made a very positive impact on the team's success. An injury and internship at the University of Pennsylvania limited Abby to only seven games in 2018, but she was available for 22 last year. The two-time Gatorade Player of the Year at Cheshire High (2016 and 2017) led the Rams to the Class LL championship game both years. In 2016, Cheshire finished 27-0, primarily because of her powerful right arm. That summer was her best as a Brakette, going 6-0 with a 1.44 ERA and 55 strikeouts in 39 innings pitched. For her Brakettes career Abramson is 13-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 93 strikeouts in 93 innings. Playing first base at times, along with DH, she has a .303 career batting average.
