Katie Sciglimpaglia became the starting shortstop at St. Peter's College two games into her career in 2019. And last summer she earned a promotion to the Stratford Brakettes after her stellar season for the Junior Brakettes. The Norwalk, CT, resident, who is majoring in psychology, will be used around the infield by Manager John Stratton. In 34 games last summer, she hit .326 (31-for-95) with seven doubles, 15 runs scored, and 20 RBI. She earned WMS All-America status in last year's national tournament. The slick-fielding Sciglimpaglia led Norwalk High to a 14-7 record in 2018. She was named to the All-FCIAC first team twice and was second team All-State in 2018.
