Whenever Kaysee Talcik takes the mound for the Stratford Brakettes, the odds are it will result in a victory. After three years in the rotation, the Shelton, CT, native has enjoyed one of the best career starts in team history. The 6-foot-1 Talcik posted a 14-0 record last summer, her second straight unbeaten season. She enters the 2020 campaign with a 33-game win streak and an overall 35-1 career ledger. The last time Talcik lost was June 11, 2017 to the Lyons, PA, Spirit in the Cornfield Classic elimination round. Working 79.2 innings in 2019, she struck out 89 batters and had a 1.23 ERA. In three years she has struck out 283 batters in 221.1 innings and has recorded a 1.04 ERA. The UMass-Lowell graduate led the River Sharks to the 2019 America East title with her 12-8 record. Named to the 2018 WMS All-America team, Kaysee also has a .304 career batting average. One of her three home runs in 2017 was a three-run, walk-off blast.
