Resides: West Haven, CT

When West Haven's Kailey Carrano committed to play softball at Western New England College, the Golden Bears coaching staff was ecstatic. Carrano was the type of player they felt could help WNE back to the NCAA tournament. Through six games in mid-March, Kailey didn't disappoint, compiling a .384 batting average (8-for-22) with three RBI for the 3-3 Golden Bears before the virus took its toll. The Golden Bears' starting third baseman ventured to WNE after a noteworthy scholastic career for the Blue Devils, capped by a fantastic senior season in 2019 when she garnered first team All-State. She was also honored as 'Coach' George DeMaio's (the legendary sports broadcaster) WELI Player of the Year. Kailey hit a season record .581 with a record 19 doubles. Her 43 hits, five home runs, and 39 RBI rank second for a single season, while she is the career leader in doubles (36) and RBI (89). The four-year scholar-athlete also earned second team All-State as a junior.
